Marc,
Thanks for the post - I'm new to the site here and I am very impressed by it.

What is your IP requirement to get onto the leaderboards? 0.8 IP/game? While the sample size is very small, I think Brian Matusz should be mentioned here. In his 6 games at the AA level in the Eastern League, he has posted a 10.1 K/9 rate with a 2.47 FIP. He's been right up there with Rzepczynski, with a much lower walk rate (1.7 BB/9)

I wonder how much of an impact promotions have on this list. Maybe that's the reason why the pitchers on here are your top prospects, while the hitters have been more of an unknown quantity. Since a starter is only pitching every 5 days, he'll have to get a few more weeks/months of work in before the execs decide to move him up (and thus maintain a spot on the leaderboard), whereas a hitter who does well can get promoted in a month or two (and he will not meet the PA requirements).

If you have more of these to do you should put the players age along with the handedness and organization. While pitchers don't necessarily follow progression curves like hitters it would make it easier to eyeball junkballers and players with little upside.

First time commenting here.

I like what you said about Jeanmar Gomez, especially as an Indians fan I'm holding out hope it's the truth, but quite frankly, I'm not sure he has the stuff to become a 2/3 starter. Rondon? Yes. Gomez? Probably not. His fastball is a little less plus than Rondon's and his secondary stuff is still a little inconsistent. If he can really develop those pitches, he could definately become a very nice #3 starter, but right now I see him as more of a back of the rotation pitcher. A move to the bullpen has also been discussed, however the Indians need all the starting help they can get.

Btw, love the site, love the articles, and it's become a daily routine of going through the stats and checking the site. Great work.
