Also very much not a fan of putting a reliever over him, especially if one only sees him as “solid.” What’s solid, 3.50 era/fip? That itself is probably lofty, and only worth about 1 WAR if he gets high leverage situations. Smolinski will likely demolish that.

I also think it’s strange to put Galloway above Skipworth. Galloway finished with a better slash line but Skipworth finished with a better BB/K, a better ISO, has a better pedigree, and plays a more premium position (Especially if Galloway is a future RFer, which seems like it will be the case)

No love for Daniel Jennings? Here’s a guy who averages over a strikeout per inning, has a 55% GB rate, respectable walk rates, and is only a year older than Martinez. Maybe it’s just me, but I think Jennings has real future closer potential.

Undoubtedly he would move to the bench. There is some talk that Morrison can play left field, but I doubt it based on his defense at first base (I’ve heard average, nothing of interest).

What happens to Sanchez when Morrison is ready? It would be a shame if he gets stuck being a bench player.
