You missed out some years back, Matthew, when John Olerud and Mike Cameron would K looking 4 times per game. With them it was all walks and Ks looking and doubles. Good baseball.

Where does JD Drew rank in past years in this category? He is good when he plays, but definitely watches the third strike go by.

This really does show that Carlos Gomez is trying to improve. The key word there is trying. He can try any approach he wants, but he needs to start to recognize pitches or he’ll be striking out either way.

this is not to mention the number or ridiculous calls that umpires have made that have gotten him called out looking at a “strike”
