Giambi still has a little pop in his bat, (14 hr in '09),(a bit over 250 ab's) and he still draws walks. (around 15%) I do believe that Giambi just got off to a rocky start in Oakland, combined with playing in a "not so friendly hitters park". $1.8 million isn't much to pay Jason either, even if he is a bench player.
