I watched the guy pitch a ton this year and I didn't see a true curve higher then 80 or 81. I'm willing to bet the Cards would reverse that deal if they could. Ryan had a great year at SS, and that quality arm in the pen would have meant a lot to them. If they were either expecting it or recognized it by release and/or rotation, they were able to make decent contact, but often they were nowhere near close to it.
