		<description>in response to the curveball post, i don&#039;t see how his &quot;fast&quot; curveballs aren&#039;t just a touch slower sliders. I watched the guy pitch a ton this year and I didn&#039;t see a true curve higher then 80 or 81.  For his average &quot;fast&quot; curveball to go 82+ means he&#039;s throwing some at 84 and 85 which I know is not the case.</description>

		<description>Gregerson was sent to SD in the Khalil Greene deal, I believe.

I&#039;m willing to bet the Cards would reverse that deal if they could.  Ryan had a great year at SS, and that quality arm in the pen would have meant a lot to them.</description>

		<description>Is the high whiff rate and slightly above normal slugging an indication that hitters were often deceived by the slider?  If they were either expecting it or recognized it by release and/or rotation, they were able to make decent contact, but often they were nowhere near close to it.</description>
