Berkman has a full no-trade clause and (I believe) has said he would not waive it for any reason (said this in the past, not this year). He grew up in Texas and played college in Houston, so even if the Astros put him on the market (they won't), he wouldn't agree to a trade.

Yo Adrian is having an amazing season. He is mauling the ball on the road. Imagine what Texas would look like with him at first and Chris Young (who wouldn't have had to worry about Albert Pujols) on the mound. Whither Eaton and Otsuka? I think Adrian should be higher on the list, considering the production he'd likely put up for any other team (away from Petco), his stellar defense, his age, and his price. I love Berkman, but it seems like Adrian should be further ahead of Berkman, considering age, defense, contracts, and home ballparks.
