I meant to write 'z-contact'. Still, it's crazy that some guys swing AND make contact at 96%+ of pitches in the strike zone. That's interesting about the Angels and Dodgers. The Angels seem to be a 'walk less, run more' club which means maybe they're swinging more, trying to put the game in motion. Opposing pitchers recognize this and won't throw them anything in the strike zone. I certainly wouldn't throw anything near Vlad, not that it matters. That’s interesting about the Angels and Dodgers. The Angels seem to be a ‘walk less, run more’ club which means maybe they’re swinging more, trying to put the game in motion. Lot's of guys above 96%. Also, I noticed the 11 guys with the lowest Zone% are all Angels and Dodgers. That seems really weird to me. It can't be coaching these are the pitches that are getting thrown to these guys. I assume that will fade as the season goes on, but it's really weird.
