He's pretty bad away from those parks, 4.23 ERA in Detroit, 3.76 ERA in LA, 4.71 ERA for his career including those parks. The only reason he has had and continues to have a MLB career, is the good fortune to pitch significant number of seasons in those home parks, giving other GMs the hope that if they sign him, they can catch lightening in the bottle, this time. The Dodgers are probably the only team that reliably can sign him and not look like a fool. At times he could be brilliant. The problem is that he was also just as likely to blow up. He's far too hittable. Consequently, his career ERA stands at 5.01! I don't really see the point, but it's not so egregious as to really bother me that much. Besides, the Dodgers could always use another arm in the pen that can go a few innings, so I guess it's okay.
