He was one fellow I wish I had really known because his articles were always funny, informative, and entertaining, and showed his caring and understanding for other people. He came across as not only a good writer and genuine baseball fan, but as a nice guy. The news of John Brattain's passing makes me sad - even for personal, selfish reasons. I'll miss him. Condolences to John’s family and friends. He was one fellow I wish I had really known because his articles were always funny, informative, and entertaining, and showed his caring and understanding for other people.
