It was only a season and a half ago that Gagne played very well for Texas, I feel he could possibly be productive again, not like back in the day, but still productive………

Beimel, indeed more of a lefty specialist, even though he did pitch quite abit in 2006 and 2007.

I am not big on Ayala, even though he is a workhorse.
Reyes has suprisingly been effetive, even though I find it hard to believe, and I really do not want to beliee it, haha.

If healthy, Izzy may be the best bet, and then I would have to go with Beimel and Ayala…..Gagne, has to show he can be productive and he may want more then all of the others……….I would be willing to sign him to a 1yr, 3.5M contract with a plethera of incentives.

Really depends what you need. Ayala has proven himself the biggest workhorse of this bunch, and his 2008 is not the norm at all. Beimel and Shouse are more 1-hitter specialists. Gagne I don’t think has been too effective since his dominant seasons, and who knows about Izzy’s status. If I needed a reliever to fill out my pen, and had to choose from these six, I’d go with Ayala or Reyes.

I would have to go with Biemel……

And most upside? Gagne?
