It wasn't fun to see a guy like that who wasn't far removed from a bright future in that position. I made a graph the other day looking at the range of K-Rates in MLB this decade, and one of the points that stuck out most as being abnormally outside the general range was Cornejo's 2003 season. Kind of funny that I should encounter his name twice in one week after not having heard anything of him in years. He missed most of the season, I think came back very late and was completely ineffective, and hasn't really been the same since. I have to wonder if that 06 elbow problem was the one that ruined his career. It's unfortunate, cause he had a nice future and was a great guy off the field too.
