In 1974 every Cubs starter had a negative WPA. Must’ve been a long summer.

Does 1974 WPA use a different win probability table? I gotta think a 2 run lead in ‘74 was bigger than a 2 run lead now.

It still uses Tangotiger’s win probability tables, but the run environment is scaled down, so the change in run environment is reflected in the data.
