At fangraphs I don&#039;t expect articles to dwell on obvious small sample factors like &quot;outside of Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez, the offense has been inconsistent.&quot; What relevance does this have to predicting the outcome of the series?

Also shouldn&#039;t a comment like &quot;mainly because the hitters have, on average, seen a lot more of Lee than Philly has seen of Sabathia,&quot; be supported by some sort of study that says the more a hitter and pitcher face off the more the better the hitter tends to do, as opposed to your gut?</description>
