Everyone thought he was going to be a platoon guy, at best. I never really found him to be an overblown prospect, as people were fairly realistic in their expectations. He didn't have a problem coming up when guys were trying to blow fastballs past the rook, but teams quickly caught on to the fact that he couldn't touch a curve, slider, or change. That was my impression, anyways. I would be curious to see if anybody has any data to confirm/deny that.
