   Kubel not a full time starter?! how many 30 HR hitters are around and for just $7.5M is an enormous bargain. Could be good fit for several teams.

     What does his HR total have to do with the fact that he is a below league average hitter against LHP? He is a negative on defense, and a negative on the base paths, so against a left handed starter he should not start the game.

       I didn’t say he’s a superstar. he’s got flaws like every player. He’s only slightly below average vs. LHed pitching (with a .212 iso in 2012) and uzr had him only a small negative the past few years. Let’s not overstate the case. That said, surely he’s a better fit as in the AL but the point was that he has a highly underrated stick… one worth way more than $7.5M per.

   Totally absurd comparing Ichiro, even late in his career right now to Randy Winn. Completely off base and not close.
