• Voila: Buster Posey (C), Pat Burrell (1B), Freddy Sanchez (2B), Jeff Keppinger (3B), Aaron Rowand (LF), Andres Torres (CF), Carlos Beltran (RF), Jonathan Sanchez or Barry Zito (SP), Sergio Romo and Brian Wilson (RP).

this is apropos of nothing, but i just noticed that Jason Giambi is having an amazing pinch-hitting season. he’s exceeded 1 WAR in just over 100 ABs. does that raise his NERD score somehow?

Actually, he is having a marginal/below average pinch hitting season. If you consult his splits, from what I can tell, most of the damage has been in a none-PH role.
