Who were the pitchers at the very top left and very bottom right of the regression line?

]]>I’m thinking if this is true, then f-strike percentages that are quite high might indicate a pitcher that uses fastballs early in the count to get ahead, but can’t finish anyone off with his breaking stuff. It could also be a quirky p-value with only one season of data. Were you able to test for polynomial relationships using your much larger data set?
