Saw it as it happened. Nice addition!
absolutely fantastic. thank you!
That makes me wonder, can you calculate wRC or wRAA against pitchers and put it on a R/9 scale? Better yet, why would you want to?
Quality stuff! Keep up the good work!
wRC- would be a very useful one to have, to be alongside ERA- and FIP-. I’d vote for that.
ERA is about OBP, SLG, and sequencing of events.
wRC is about OBP, SLG, and agnostic on sequencing.
FIP is about OBP, SLG, but excluding BABIP, and agnostic on sequencing.
So, they each kind of build on each other. I’d like them in that order, in terms of presentation: ERA-, wRC-, FIP-.
(Actually, I’d do away with ERA- and go with RA9-.)
When are you going to add minor league splits to your site? For a website that is as great as FanGraphs and so focused on data, this continues to be the biggest data hole for the site.
Any chance 2B/3B could also be added as sortable stats as well? I’m interested in doing analysis based on not just a pitchers ability to give up home runs, but doubles as well.
