ZiPS In Season Projections
The ZiPS in-season projections have just gone live on the site and all the pre-season projections are now hidden by default. You can still see the pre-season projections by clicking on the “Show Projections” button right below each section’s heading.
There are two separate in-season ZiPS projections:
RoS = Rest of Season, or what a player will do for the remainder of the season.
Update = An updated full season projection for the player in question.
Huge thanks to Dan Szymborski of Baseball Think Factory for allowing us to use these again this season!
David Appelman is the creator of FanGraphs.
Excellent, this is exactly what I was waiting for. Thanks Dan and David and the rest of FanGraphs.
Hmm, why doesn’t Matt Kemp have Zips projections?
That is an excellent question…. I’m investigating.
And the answer is: None of the Dodgers have projections, but that will be fixed tonight.
I thought I was going crazy. I was in the middle of writing a piece when the projections disappeared! Fantastic stuff guys. Thanks!
Thanks so much for getting these in again this season.
For users that are logged in (or at least those that paid for the SecondOpinion ;) ) can FanGraphs implement the ability to hide and unhide projections and minor league stats by default per user preference? I personally prefer to hide minor league stats but to show projections.
Yeah, I’d like to see new projections together w/ previous projections to see if there are drastic changes that could impact my fantasy evaluations.
nvm, just had to flip projections back on.
Just a late thank you for allowing us to hide minor league stats; it has been a great feature.
Where is Justin Smoak in the projections?
