Profile: Tampa Bay acquired Conger from the Astros as their latest exploration into the clearance bin for catchers, hoping Houston's trash was their treasure. He was no treasure. He had his worst offensive season as a pro and did even worse in the minors before eventually being given his release in early September. His liability at the dish is matched only by his liability behind it, as he does a particularly poor job controlling the running game -- offsetting what he is able to do as a pitch framer. There is a future for him as organizational depth somewhere with his receiving skills, but the flaws to his offensive game and catch-and-throw skills limit his prospects. (Jason Collette)

The Quick Opinion: Can't hit, can't throw; what do you do? Can't hit, can't throw; what do you do? No need for sudden innuendos to follow, as there is nothing inside these numbers other than organizational depth.
