Profile: A former Yankees' farmhand, Pena got into 30 games for the Giants in 2016 and performed surprisingly well ... at least, for a guy who played in just 30 games. Eight of his 26 hits went for extra bases, which isn't bad for a guy who had 29 extra base hits in his career coming into 2016. Like many organizational depth players, Pena can't be counted on for much production at the MLB level, rendering his usefulness in fantasy baseball minute.  He's headed back to San Francisco on a minor-league deal and will have to contend with the other minor-league veterans for playing time in Sacramento and San Francisco. The Quick Opinion: Despite a solid showing aided by BABIP for the Giants in 30 games, Pena hasn't done much in his career. He doesn't have enough glove to warrant a 25-man roster spot, not to mention his deficiencies at the plate.
