RotoWire News: Stubbs went 1-for-1 with two walks in Monday's spring training win over Miami. He's competing for a reserve outfielder role. "He's a veteran guy, he's had some numbers. He's got an opportunity here," manager Paul Molitor told the Minneapolis Star Tribune. (2/27/2017)

Profile: The days of Drew Stubbs as a big league ballplayer may be over. In the last two seasons, he moved from the Rockies, to the Rangers, to the Braves, back to the Rangers, and then to the Orioles. Throughout all those stops, he struggled to hit over .200, thanks to the fact that his strikeout rate — which was always an issue — is now so incredibly high that he essentially can no longer play the game. Sure, he's always been in the 30% strikeout-rate range, but since the beginning of 2015, Stubbs' K-rate is 41.9%. (Scott Strandberg)

The Quick Opinion: He's in camp with the Twins on a minor league deal, and with a strikeout rate north of 40% in each of the last two years, it's pretty tough to see him getting much, if any, at-bats in Minnesota. Stubbs might be done.
