He is home grown, big and improving each season (yes, small sample size). He plays a great 1B and his HRs are blasts – nothing cheap about them. He is a fun kid to root for because I don’t believe he was ever tagged as a top prospect.

This is a serious question not a snarky comment… What is it with all this love Mets fans have for Ike Davis? I can understand why I see it in the ESPN comments section. What am I missing?

You take that deal in a NY minute. Hosmer will be an All Satr 1B, and Lawrie may be a stud as well. Lester is maybe a little problematic ut a decent SP. All three are young and have significant upside, while Pujols is 32. No brainer.

You could make the argument that it really depends on what the rest of your team looks like, but if you could get a top 5 3b and a top 10 1b over the next 5-7 years, plus a pitcher with the potential to be a top 3 on your staff for a declining pujols, yes, you do it.

Hosmer got an agressive rating, I was offered Hosmer, Lawrie, and Lester for Pujols in a H2H dynasty league. Do i take it? Thoughts? How good can Hosmer be?

It’s worth noting after being plunked in the knee, the injury lingered throughout the 2nd half for Paulie. If all signs are green in 2012, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him maintain the production all season long.

I’m thinking about making some trades that would leave me with Morse as a keeper, but I’d be using that added-eligibility and playing him almost exclusively in LF (we use LF/CF/RF instead of OF).

Seeing him ranked that highly among the many studs at 1B makes me happy.

We’ll see how the Citi Field park factors go. Ike will be 25 and Freeman will be 22, so it’s anyone’s guess.

I think Ike Davis is gonna have a better year than Freeman. Im also in an OBP league so Ike’s walk rate is more intriguing
