  3. I know this is not the post that was relevant but where is that guy who said Liriano is as deserving or more deserving than Cliff Lee for the AL Cy Young? Outings like today are what keep FL from being mentioned, you won’t see Lee out there walking 6 guys, Lee is far and away better than Liriano for the Cy. That guy who said that is as crazy or more crazy than Bud Selig lol.

  5. Thanks for the article. Many of my AL-only roster decisions like this – which come down to replacing an injured player or a replacement-level guy like Andruw Jones with a player the caliber of Maier or David Murphy. I’m still leaning toward Murphy since he’s getting decent playing time right now with a little more to show in the HR/SB categories, but it’s nice to get some deeper analysis on fringe starters rather than just owned percentages for combined leagues on Yahoo, ESPN or something where you choose from a bunch of players who are solid and/or obvious fill-ins for injured stars. If I could believe Maier had a real shot at hitting .300 the next 20 games, I’d probably change my mind, since that I’m losing more ground in that category than any other offensive statistic.
