  1. why do you think there is such a disparty in berkman’s ownership percentage in espn and yahoo?

  2. Pre-draft rankings and default roster settings (yahoo = 9 batters [i think] & ESPN = 13 batters).

  3. That and they like him for 462 ABs and 17 HR, on optimistic side

  4. I consider Fransisco good Holliday cover; by the time the appendectomy is healed, I’ll know whether I need to keep Fransisco on the team. Shandler liked him for 20/20 upside, too.

Eno, is there a reason why Fransisco hasn’t had much of a shot ’til now? Is it all in the platoon numbers you cite above? My main hestitation is that he’s coming out of orgs without great OFs.

  5. What about Seth Smith? Too soon to tell if he should move up in the ranks?

  6. Perhaps the Indians were worried about his high strikeout rates that one year… he doens’t really have a standout tool.. and I’ve heard whispers about his platoon issues that suggest that maybe there was a doubt he could handle righties. Still, that split not so bad.

  7. I loved me some Francisco, but he always seemed to be one of like 80 different options. From what I recall, Sizemore and Franky Guettierez were basically slotted in and it was Jason Michaels, Choo, Kenny Lofton, and David Delluci all battling Francisco for the right to put up the most mediocre stats.

Thats splits were always brought up and they were always blown way out of proportion; but I think one of the aforementioned players had noticeable splits that made him a sure-play and relegated Francisco.

Before he was traded, Cleveland had acquired even more mediocrity in the OF.

I think Francisco is one of the players that you’ll never know about because he was never given a shot. He’s always intrigued me.

  8. I would think similar to ’10 – rakes pretty well against RHP, atrocious/benched against LHP.
