Drafting Youkilis to play 3B on your team was probably one of the best draft moves you could make this year. No matter where you made that move it was worth it. Who cares what his batting average is, it’s April.
I’m slightly embarrassed to say I didn’t just bench Liriano… but in a fit of anger I actually dropped him! I. I felt validated when nobody in my league picked him up. Admittedly it was an ugly no-no what with 6 BB and just 2 Ks, but I couldn’t resist the siren song and he is once again on my roster. I know…fool me once…
I didn’t have Liriano on my squad but had a pending on the table for him and Pujols in my H2H keeper during the off season. The owner with him in our league had him benched. He’s in last place in the league this season and finished next to last, last season…
In the draft of my primary league 3Bs flew off the board well before their ADPs. I was distracted in some of the mid rounds. In a panic I grabbed Chipper in the 18th. Ive been trying to pursue trade options ever since, but that is difficult with the lack of depth at the position. It’s only a matter of time until Chipper breaks down.

I hope that some more-deserving team grabs Ian Stewart off of the Rockies for a pittance and humiliates the Rockies when he makes the All Star team. They simply have no clue what they have in him if they would just LEAVE HIM ALONE. No, not sending him off to the minors after a vast total of 20 cold AB this spring following an injury. NO, not constantly taking him in and out of the lineup, moving him around on the field, or insulting him in public as Jim Tracy has now taken to.
Minor, probably irrelevant fact: Ian Stewart is already an ESTABLISHED MAJOR LEAGUE SLUGGING THIRD BASEMAN. He’s logged 28 homers and 94 RBI per 600 AB for the major league Rockies in between being jerked around. He doesn’t “have to either hit his way onto the team or off of it”, Mr. Tracy. YOU have to open your eyes and realize what’s right in front of you, Mr. Denseskull.
