  1. There’s an absurd amount of upside in the middle rounds of these drafts.
Zimmerman through Sanchez in the 15th looks great. Not high on Marcum or Cueto, but every other pitcher in there I’d be happy with.
Marcum’s a curious case though, now that I look at his line. He has a history of keeping his BABIPs low (.269 in 732IP) but his control took a dive this year.
That string of Luebke, Minor and Niese all look like pitchers who could outperform their draft position. Their value is hampered by their teams.

  5. What kind of season do you project for Zimmermann in 2012?

  6. No Josh Collmenter?

  7. It’s insane how much quality pitching exists today. Chris Carpenter didn’t lose a step in 2011 and is projected for another great year by experts and Fangraphs fans (15 wins, 3.50 ERA, 150+ Ks and 1.20 WHIP) but he is available in round 13. Yes, he is old, but he throws harder (92.5 mph in 2011) than a lot of the guys drafted before him.

  8. No shelby miller? Probably won’t be up until mid season this year, but in a keeper draft, i like him better than most of the guys picked in round 20 and later
