  1. Nitpicking, but there were more hard throwing qualified lefties than that. Price, Lester, and CC immediately come to mind.

  2. Harrison, Gio, Romero…

  3. There’s no such thing as a fantasy expert! Just guys who play fantasy that write about it! And maybe somehow get paid! I want that to be me!

  4. I picked up Smyly in my AL Only Ten Teamer. Would you start him against the Yanks in Yankee Stadium? He did handle a potent TX lineup and usually lefties don’t do so bad in the NY Coors Field.

  5. //Drew Smyly wasn’t supposed to be here.//

Is this a Clerks reference? Even if it’s not, I’m going to pretend it is.

  7. Why didn’t Holland qualify? He started all season. Also, Danny Duffy also bested that average, and he’s a lefty. Not to mention Price and Lester.

  8. yeah i was thinking the exact same thing. I didn’t know holland had the highest avg FB of all lefties

  9. Not nit-picking at all. Have no idea how I got my leaderboard to give me f’ed up results like that. Updated.

  10. It’s closer in a ten-team AL-only — normally I’d say to sit him and gain more information, though.

  11. It was! Didn’t really go anywhere with it though.

  12. In a 10 team H2H would it be worth dropping a Justin Masterson to pickup one of the following who are available on the wire: Drabek, Danks, or Smyly?

  13. I think another good thing going for Smyly is that after his next stat against the Yankees, he has cake matchups well through

  14. I think another good thing going for Smyly worth mentioning is that after his next start against the Yankees, he has cake matchups well through May and into June.

  15. Drop Kuroda for Smyly in a 12-team mixer?

  16. Re: eligible pitchers, it looks like you may have filtered for NL only. All the guys you missed are AL.

    Comment by DPG — April 25, 2012 @ 11:15 am

  17. I like Smyly, but I wouldn’t go that far. Kuroda should be fine.

    Comment by Congo Hammer — April 27, 2012 @ 8:13 pm

  18. Drop Burnett or Nicasio for Smyly?

    Comment by sanderson13 — April 28, 2012 @ 11:26 pm

  19. You should definitely keep me, I’ve got a sweet 12 ER bomb I’m going to drop on you.
