  4. I’m curious as to where Gio Gonzalez would rank on SwStk%. He has a higher K% than anyone you listed, so I’d have to assume that he’d be way up there in SwStk% as well. Was he left off the list because he looks to continue his nearly 31% K%? Or is he getting a ton of called strike threes?

  6. Samardzija… going from fringe-level reliever to a starter posting a 9.35 K/9 and sub-3 BB/9 through the first 50 innings of 2012… pretty freakin’ incredible.

  7. Even after his atrocious start against Seattle, Christian Friedrich’s swstrk% is 11.5. Small sample size, but still…

  8. J Sam initially had great velocity in 2008 but lost it. He gained it back during last year after the first 2 months and became a very good reliever after that point.

He’s been good with his velocity, bad without it.

  9. Thanks! I tried to find the stat on the leaders page, but couldn’t figure out where it was, and I couldn’t find the stat on Gio’s page. Could you fill me in on how you were able to get that information?

  10. After yesterday’s 15 swinging Ks, Scherzer is up to 28.6 K% and 12.5% SwStr%.

  11. Yeah, it was kind of tricky to find. You can go to the leader boards, but I couldn’t find it in the top navigation bar for some reason so I went to the bottom of the page and created a custom leader board using SwStk% as the only criteria.

  12. If you’re going to look at my peripherals, I’d rather you do it the day after I start against Pittsburgh as well.
