  1. I doubt there will ever be enough cases to do a proper study on it, but I wonder if older players’ elbows are better able to handle a sudden velocity spike than younger ones. Naysayers were anecdotally right about the much younger Duffy.

  2. Thanks for the article, about time he has gotten some attention.

    The Fastball Velocity has played a role, but if you watch him a few games you will see he’s figured out a NASTY slider. Filthy little thing has a sharp break as it gets to the plate
