  1. I’ve picked Adam Dunn 11 times in Fangraphs The Game, and he’s hit a home run in 7 of them. Maybe I should keep picking him :)

  2. Adam Dunn’s got more home runs than singles right now.

  3. Adam Dunn has done quite well for me when I’ve picked him too. Maybe I should pick him more? I’m doing awful in FG The Game so far. Sigh. I can still maybe win the writers league. Maybe…

  4. After reading Mike Podhorzer’s article about Future SP Disapointments, I tried to trade Jarrod Parker for Ben Zobrist and to my surprise, the other owner accually accepted. I made this off of the basis that Parker’s ERA is sure to rise to his FIP level and because, appart from his .239 BABIP, Zobrist is putting up numbers similar to his 2011/2010 seasons (BB/K%, ISO, wOBA, Spd, etc.). Can I expect Zobrist’s BABIP to rise, thus increasing his fantasy output, or will his even year drought continue?

  5. First: Wow. That is a great deal for you.
Second: Zobrist was never a huge BABIP guy but .240 is crazy low, even for him.
Third: After using our very own Jeff Zimmerman’s xBABIP, I have Zobrist at a .311 xBABIP this year. I’d take that number with a grain of salt, but even if he settles in for a RoS BABIP of .280 (his career mark), you came out like a bandit.

    Great trade.

  6. Thanks. Another thing about Zobrist is that his eight homers so far have traveled an average distance of about 390 feet. That is his farthest distance since 2008 and about a 20 foot increase from the last two years. I can’t wait to see how he turns out.

  7. Great point. I hadn’t even thought of that.
