  1. Segura a slightly faster version of Altuve?

  2. I see where you’re goin’, but the smidgen younger Altuve seems to have a plate discipline edge.

Segura’s no hits, no walks, 4ks first 10 MLB plate appearances have looked very bad (ignore the TINY sample size, I’m just talking eye-test: he’s swinging at everything, and if he can’t calm down, he’s in trouble).

  3. You are not accounting for the “Jim Tracy” factor. Yes EY has played 4/5 games since Cuddyer hit the DL but Jackass Tracy could bench him after he goes 0-4 once-twice.

  4. You were right about Segura, except for underestimating his power (or his HR/FB %)

  5. Yeah, I was amazed to see such a good read of Jean Segura eight months ahead of his surprise breakout this year. High average, stolen bases, actually has a little pop… He’s maybe better than expected, but no different.
