Re Lawrie, it’s worthwhile to note that, of all the players DL’d for obliques this year, exactly ZERO of them returned in 15 days. And plenty of those strains didn’t sound terribly serious either. Even a mild oblique strain takes a good bit of time.
I gave up Peavy and Nova for Hanley in a keeper league. Opinions anyone?

Hanley was brought in to replace Lawrie actually.

An owner would have to be pretty frickin optimistic to take on Youkilis. In obvious and dramatic decline, despite hitting a coupla dingers when he first landed in Chitown. Hanley has been in similar decline for a while now. His numbers are down across the board for two years, not just since he landed at LAX. Of the three you mention, the only one that even remotely looks like a good trade possibility is Lawrie, but even here obliques can be very lingering — plus he is young and with long-term upside.
How do you pick up Middlebrooks this late in the year? Must be nice to be in a mickey mouse league like that… I picked him up as soon as Longoria went on the DL. I guess you have to spring for a Moustakas or Johnson if either are available…
If you hurry up, I’m sure you can add Marte and Rutledge in your league while your at it…
It’s a 12 team keeper with a very shallow bench, and penalties for dropping non-injured players plus one team seems to have quit. Oddly enough both Moustakas and Johnson are owned. I went the trade rout to get chipper jones for an injured Carlos Ruiz, tough to give him up but I’m in win now mode.
