  1. Nice writeup, though I was hoping to come in here and read something about his upcoming schedule and a guess at his recommendation based on that.

  2. Hi fellow Chris! One observation real quick from the spelling police, first sentence of the last paragraph you probably meant track? “Anderson definitely has a trace record of success, which should make him a desirable pickup.”

Also was there not talk of the A’s going to a 6 man? Milone already skipped a start to lessen fatigue and we all know McCarthy is a fragile man himself. That would temporarily kill 2 birds with one stone right?

  4. A’s schedule is pretty brutal the rest of the way, actually. Very risky add.

  5. He’ll be useful. Twins @ Oak, Indians @ Progressive, Red Sox @ Oak, Mariners @ Sea, Orioles @ OAK, and Sea @ Oak.

There is one week with Texas,Detriot, and New York, but other than that. It isn’t awful

  6. Is it possible that Anderson was working on specific pitches in AAA, rather than getting outs? I can think of a few mechanisms for how that would increase both home runs and strikeouts (hitters think they know what’s coming, so they swing hard and more often, and frequently were correct; throws the same pitch eight times in a row, but it’s a way better pitch than below average AAAers can handle).

  7. Im in an 18 team mixed with 14 keepers and it’s year 9 of this very active league, my point, I picked up Anderson and put him on the DL for the last month before anybody could. When leagues are this competitive and deep, guys like Anderson are NOT siting on the wire long. Good article thanks!

  8. I traded for him in February. What’s your point?
