  1. I would really like to look deeper into average fly ball rates and how that correlates into HR/FB% but that data doesn’t appear to be available on FG. Is that data available to the public anywhere?

  2. It’s on Jeff Zimmerman’s site

The data is very new, so no studies have been done yet. If you could put something together, that would be great!

  5. Do you know what an oblique injury is?

  6. Also lol @ “maybe even a doubling of his home run total.” You really would go so far as to say Brett Lawrie could hit as many as 22 home runs next year? Really? Bold!

  7. @theeiffeltower: I read the article and watched the video. They have no knowledge of what they were talking about. Being around baseball and injuries doesn’t make you an expert to be listened to. Who in their right mind would listen to a man with a BA in History and another with a Communications/Poly Sci when it comes to injuries??? [facepalm]

  8. So what are you saying–an oblique injury wouldn’t affect someone’s ability to hit a baseball? And you’re completely discounting the interviews with the trainer of an MLB team and multiple players? OK
