  1. Mike McDougal was not a bad closer. He was 3rd in the big leagues in save percentage ahead of guys like Joe Nathan and Johnathan Papelbon. He only blew 1 save in 21 opportunities.

  2. Minor quibble, though this is more just a pet peeve. Theriot has roughly 3 years of ML service time. It’s a bit soon to be referring to him as a veteran.
