I don't think I'd take Arod or Wright first overall - although 3B is relatively weak, I think there are some decent players to be had later in the draft, and I don't mind settling for a guy like Edwin Encarnacion or Kevin Kouzmanoff or Adrian Beltre (especially if he's traded) much later. I think Hanley is going to put up better raw numbers than Arod/Wright, and I think SS is less deep (although more top-heavy). That's just off of the top of my head, though, and I reserve the right to change my mind :) That’s a good question, Mike. We'll see if that holds true in 2009. As for my saying "most" instead of "all," there's no good reason why Hanley shouldn't be a first round pick in ALL leagues. My writing "most" was simply out of habit of hedging my bets - Hanley should be a first round pick in every league, unless something dramatic changes during this offseason. That could be why his stolen bases went down this year. Good article, and i sure hope he can hit 40-40, but I was curious about one thing: You say that he should be a first round choice in "most" leagues.
