Andruw=future Hall of Famer. If Andruw hits 500 HR, how can they keep him out? Who cares if he had a couple horrific seasons, the sportswriters will forget about that if he keeps hitting for a few more years. No one has ever played center like him.

Anyone think the rangers' batting coach rudy jaramillo has anything to do with andruw's resurgence as a hitter?

If they don't think they can win this year they should trade him, and the teams that actually gives a good prospect for him is probably a sucker.

Do you think he could be trade bait, or maybe one of the other outfielders in Texas?

Andruw was amazing to watch in center field as a brave. He glided around the outfield making it all look easy. He could still be a very good CF

This is a bold assessment of Andruw's skills, but I think the wOBA does all the talking. Great move for the Rangers.

Not related to fantasy baseball, but I'm a little surprised the Rangers haven't given Andruw a shot in center. According to UZR/150, he was league average in 2008 when he was hobbled and out-of-shape. While the sample sizes are extra-ordinarily small, he has excelled in LF and RF so far this year. I'm willing to bet some money that he could still be an above-average CF if given the chance. No reason his defense can't show the same kind of rebound as his offense, and he was a ridiculously good CF from 2002-2007. Even if he's slowed a step, his instincts, jumps, and routes should keep him above average. Rangers might as well try to maximize his value. Plus, it would help keep Hamilton fresh to give him a few more days at DH.
