I look at Bill James' 2010 predictions and can't help but wonder if maybe the Birds should give MelMo a flier as a utility player. I am wary of going out after a Figgins or a Beltre after looking at Bell's AFL numbers. If Bell is going to be there for a cup of joe in September '10, why sign a guy that is going to command millions more AND a long-term deal?

Despite the blow-up between he and Trembley (who likely won't be in Baltimore after 2010 either), he has been a great guy in the community and has been one of the few post-Ripken constants in the clubhouse. Christ, outside of MelMo, has anyone on the '09 O's even MET the Iron Man?

if he wants to stay in Baltimore, take a paycut, not like he needs the money. I know he's got quintuplets, but i think he's gotten enough money to be more than fine. Seems fairly simple to me.

Trading a 28 year old rookie with no minor league pedigree and spare parts for an established major league shortstop. What the hell was he thinking?

Melvin Mora: Traded by the New York Mets with Pat Gorman , Lesli Brea and Mike Kinkade to the Baltimore Orioles for Mike Bordick.

One of my better moves as the Mets GM.

What can fantasy owners expect from Josh Bell and would you recommend taking him in the late rounds in a deep 12 team mixed-league format with R, HRs, RBIs, SBs, Avg., OBP., OPS?
