Not only did the Royals screw over Kila they also screwed over Ryan Shealy. Shealy had 7 homers in just under 75 AB’s. Shealy currently has a wOBA of .405 in AAA. I don’t know what Moore was thinking when he traded Nunez for Jacobs.

When you think about it the Royals could have saved around $9M by keeping Leo Nunez. They wouldn’t have had to take on Jacob’s $3.25M and they probably wouldn’t have signed Juan Cruz for $6M in two years. Just straight up bad decision making.

I second the notion of always including the organization name in these writeups. I’m not an expert on Minor Leaguers, so am reading to learn about these guys, including who they play for.

Hah. Who was expressing love for Dayton Moore during the offseason? Certainly not Royals fans, who mostly hated the Jacobs deal at the time. We would have preferred to have taken a look at Ka’aihue this year.

I love these minor league updates, but I think it would be very helpful if you put the prospect’s MLB organization in parenthesis after the players name at the top of the paragraph (see Chris Carter above). Often one has to read half the paragraph to figure out what organization the player is in, and sometimes this info gets left out altogether (See Travis Wood above).

Keep up the good work, and here’s to Tyler Colvin’s comeback!
