Mixed League Starting Pitcher Rankings
We’re splitting the outfielder and starting pitcher rankings into two leagues so that your positional correspondents can handle the workload. But you’re in a mixed league and drafting this week. So, for your use, we smashed the outfielder rankings together this week.
Now it’s time for the pitchers.
They are shared as a google document here, and pasted below. If you want more analysis or click-able links, try the NL pitchers here and the AL pitchers here. Good luck drafting!

cole hamels?
I heard he’s having a rough spring, he must have missed the cut.
I thought taking him in the fifth round might have been a reach but it’s too late now.
Was wondering the same
The NL rankings have Hamels slotted between Kershaw and Jimenez. I’d value him about equal to Jered Weaver.
fixed. thanks!
I know it’s kinda splitting hairs since you have him atop the 2nd tier but I think Verlander should be in the first tier. Since he debuted 5 years ago only 3 pitchers have produced more WAR than him and only 2 have won more games(since were talking ROTO that’s important). And in the past 2 years he has really turned it on. In that time only guy has more WAR than him(and thats only by a mere .1) and only 3 have more wins. On top of that he is 2nd only to Lincecum in strikeouts.
Seems like there should be another break between Gallardo and Buchholz, or somewhere in that area.
Big list!
It has to be to make room for Bartolo Colon! (in both senses)
Especially when he appears twice.
I see what you did there.
Curious what your thoughts are on Jesse Litsch. He pitched well for the Jays three years ago, had injury problems since but has recovered and looks very strong this spring. Could be very solid #5 starter. Due for a bounce?
Doh!! When I saw Cole Hamels wasn’t ranked I traded him for Livan Hernandez and a bag of peanut shells.
J Chacin is way too low me thinks…
Surprised to see Dan Hudson so (relatively) low on the list.
i expected him to be ranked above guys with such serious control problems like Gio Gonzalez and Volquez, and guys like Nolasco adn Garza who have never lived up to the “potential” their peripherals suggests they may be capaple of.
I would put him in the second tier somewhere near Anderson/Hughes/Danks
