Unfortunately, his BABIP and strand rate have not been stellar for his career, either (.326 and 63%, respectively). When you've got stuff like he has, sometimes all the rules don't apply cleanly. Consider that ZiPs still projects him to put up a 4.50 ERA for the rest of the year, even with his better BABIP and strand rate and the Ray's good D. Throw in his poor divisional matchups, and I'm still not seeing much to like. A pitch to contact guy in front of a great defense is nice, but his divisional games matter to me. Do you trust him against the Yankees and Red Sox? I know I don't, and that means he maxes out as a situational spot starter, and even there, I'd roll the dice with a higher K-rate guy, esp. so with that as a stat in most leagues.
