RotoGraphs Reader Mock Draft
A few users (especially Oliver) expressed some interest in doing a RotoGraphs Reader Mock Draft, and we love the idea. Please use this post as a meeting point to figure out the draft, its’ details, and to post the results. If it’s okay with you, the RotoGraphs team will (politely) discuss the results once the draft is concluded. We think you guys are well-informed and among the best fantasy players on the interwebs, so this makes a whole grip of sense.

Gmail is pretty good at annihilating spam. At worst, you’ll have a harder time finding emails that end up in your spam folder but don’t belong there.

Hey Oliver – if you see this, let me know ASAP if 6 pm tomorrow works for you. Emails from interested parties are starting to flow in and I’d like to include you.
I’m going to let y’all suss this out, and maybe there will be two of them it looks like. why not? Hopefully, though, Oliver gets in on this since he started this whole thing.

Hey guys – I’m in fairly extreme keeper league and we’re looking for a player to inherit a team.
22 keepers, 40 man rosters with an 8 player minor league bench. 10×10 scoring; head 2 head categories. There are 14 teams in the league. $50 dues.
Warning: the team you inherit is fairly awful, so this will be a challenge for anyone. If your interested, let me know your email or twitter.

Okay folks – I’ve created a draft on MDC. It’s a 12 person, 5×5, 30 roster spot mock.
Email me directly (email address above) if you are committed to mocking the entire 30 rounds and are free to mock tomorrow. The draft is currently set to start at 6:00, but I can change that if necessary. Given the amount of interest, I’m guessing we can fill this thing as is.
Oliver – I’m holding a spot for you and will change the draft time if you need me to, given that this was your idea.
Very interested in this idea. This should be a regular thing. Put together an email list and whenever a new mock is scheduled, send an email out to let people know.

If everyone is serious, I will open a league on yahoo with these rosters. I just need somewhere where I could post the league info so everyone could join (emails/Facebook etc.)
Some fun picks, in the sense of who was available, some interesting valuations and of course some very surprising selections — but at a glance none more so than Jesus Guzman, given the round and who was left at the position.
My homerism really showed in the late rounds. Viciedo and Danks back to back and then Brent Morel a round later.
Shelby Miller before trevor bauer?
What’s wrong with that? They will be up around the same time and miller has had plenty of professional experience.
In a single year league i give the nod to the guy who’s got the more developed change up as a better bet for immediate success
