He doesn't have Davis's fastball and when I saw him pitch last season he'd catch you off guard and pitch backwards. He's drop his secondary pitches to start off at-bats. It was fascinating. I'd imagine he's next in line if Davis or another Rays starter really falters. But Davis is a few years older than Hellickson and also had a great six start cameo in the big leagues last year so I'd imagine he has the upper hand. I prefer Davis over Hellickson but that's just my opinion. And Hellickson has been getting some big recognition over other Rays pitching prospects.
