Willingham is getting some homers but his RBI and R totals are anemic. He's not likely to move up higher in the order with the hot bats ahead of him. In addition, his playing time will be less steady after Dukes returns from the DL.

Hey guys. I have a minor bit of what I hope you'll take as constructive criticism. I'm only pointing it out because I've seen the same mistake a few times on your site, but the word, "misnomer" is being used incorrectly in the phrase, "The 2.84 ERA is something of a misnomer". Misnomer means to call something by the wrong name. It should be used when something is being described inaccurately, for example, calling Randy Wolf an ace starter would be a misnomer. Randy Wolf's 2.84 ERA would better be described as a misleading indicator of his actual skill level.

As a Rangers fan I'd love for Santana to continue to struggle, but he probably just needs time to get going after being out. It takes time to completely trust your body again.

Josh Willingham anybody? He's always been a fairly solid source of offense, as he's had a healthy walk rate, a semi-decent BA and solid 25 HR pop in his bat. Now in the Nats new stadium and playing for a pretty solid offense, he's put up some great numbers and seems to have locked up an every day gig. ZIPS has him with a a .368wOBA from here on out, but I could see him doing better. His HR/FB should go down, but his FB% is up, so he should continue hitting for power, and his average should go up as well. He's right around his career LD%, but his BABIP is off by about 50. Willingham should be scooped up in most formats.

Seems more likely ever day that Justin Upton will be one of the best players (and fantasy monster) in baseball by 2011, maybe 2010.
Any information on Antonio Bastardo, the new southpaw the Phillies just called up to replace Myers? His stats look good in the minors but he seemed to come out of nowhere and isn't mentioned as being a top prospect anywhere I can find. Expectations?
