He hit behind Manny to start this year and was mashing...until Manny got suspended.

I agree, hitting in front makes a big difference but in the small sample size that was earlier this year Manny helped Either from in front.

Trading grady/tulo for hanely
trading edwin jackson for a.jones

my other SP are: gallardo, burnett, jurrjens, carpenter, harden, garza, price and pettitte

good, right?

On Manny's first game back, Vin Scully made the same point twice during Ethier's at bats: that Ethier has only done better when batting in front of Ramirez, and the reason is that he gets more fastballs. He has been batting behind Manny since Manny's return. Looking at Ethier's pitch type, the fastballs he is getting is in line with his career, except for last year, when it was 3% higher; IIRC, he was batting in front of Manny last year after the trade. Is this a legitimate reason to partially explain his performance?

I'm devastated that you are throwing two of my favorite players out there as exchange guys in Jair Jurrjens and Michael "Cuddles" Cuddyer. Anyone that watched Jair's start yesterday knows that he was leaving too many pitches up in the zone, and the Cubs took advantage of it. Cuddles probably won't hit 27 homers, but I still feel that he's going to break the 20 mark. I'm not sure that he's doing well enough for people to want to give up good value in return.
