Welcome to another chipper Monday edition of the Roto Riteup.

On today’s agenda:
1. Carlos Quentin starts his suspension
2. Wilson Ramos lands on DL

Carlos Quentin starts his suspension
This note is likely too late for you weekly-league players, but if not, Quentin will be sitting out the entirety of this week while serving his suspension for viciously mauling Zack Greinke. Quentin was set to face the Dodgers and the Giants away from Petco, but now he’ll have to wait until next Tuesday against the Brewers in San Diego to return to action. An off-day next Thursday also means the right-hander should sit on your bench for next week’s matchup.

Wilson Ramos lands on DL
The Nationals have placed their starting catcher on the disabled list with a strained hamstring. While hamstring problems can be very serious, especially for a catcher, it sounds as if it is more of a precautionary measure and Ramos will be back when eligible. Kurt Suzuki has received plenty of playing time even when Ramos was healthy, but now he’ll slide into more of an everyday role. Suzuki hasn’t been a fantasy threat since 2009, when as a member of the Oakland Athletics he hit .274 with 15 homers.

Tony Cingrani could be up soon
With Johnny Cueto potentially on his way to the DL, the Reds are preparing to bring up the top-prospect to take his place in the starting rotation. The Reds kept Cingrani on a low pitch count yesterday to ensure the 23-year-old would be well rested should his number be called. Cingrani has a devastating fastball that overpowers minor leaguers, but he still needs to develop more confidence in his offspeed stuff. Should either his changeup or breaking ball become even a semblance of an effective pitch, the big guy could be a terrific fantasy starter.
