RotoGraphs Audio: The Sleeper and the Bust 07/13/2014

Episode 141

The latest episode of “The Sleeper and the Bust” is now live! As they slide into the All-Star break, Jason Collette and Nicholas Minnix talk fantasy All-Stars, MVPs, and ROYs by league. Do not be afraid to share your dissenting opinions!

We also discuss a little ROS fantasy team evaluation, a few players coming back from injury, a few – especially Masahiro Tanaka and what to do with him – going out with injury, Shane Greene, the Minnesota Twins’ evolving rotation, and the Tampa Bay Rays’ infield.

As usual, don’t hesitate to tweet us or comment with fantasy questions so that we may answer them on our next episode.

You can subscribe to the podcast on iTunes or via the feed.

Thanks to Ian Miller, aka Teen Archer, for the intro/outro music. Approximately 85 minutes of joyous analysis.

You can certainly argue Gordon, but I would have thought Anthony Rendon would have warranted a mention in the NL 2B.

He’s on pace for 117 R/ 23 HR / 92 RBI / .287 / 14 S… That’s a legitimate five category stud out of the 20th 2B in ESPN ADP. He’s certainly more deserving that say, Chase Utley, who Nick brought up.

Do you guys like Andrelton Simmons or Jummy Rollins rest of the season in a 12 team mixed roto? Thanks!

Sorry, forgot to ask. Would you drop Gregory Polanco or Taijuan Walker for Nick Swisher in a 12 team mixed roto? Thanks!

      • Nicholas Minnix says:

Rollins, and perhaps Walker but not Polanco, depends a tad on your needs RE: Walker.
