Profile: Mike Minor was a rising star for the Braves a few years ago, using good command and a solid pitch mix to produce a 3.21 ERA (and 3.37 FIP) in 2013, his age-25 season. Unfortunately, shoulder problems dampened his effectiveness in 2014, then led to him missing the entire 2015 season recovering from a torn labrum. After being non-tendered, Minor was picked up by the Royals and made a few starts in the minors last year before being shut down again over the summer. The forecast isn't completely bleak here: Minor only just turned 29, has a skill set that should hold up post-injury, and could well be healthy to start the 2017 season. But there's no guarantee he'll be back -- and even if he is, he could be facing a stint in the minors or the bullpen. Consider his upside in deep leagues, but don't count on him for any value this year. (Brice Russ)

The Quick Opinion: After a breakout 2013 season, Minor has spent the last three years trying to get over shoulder problems. Now with the Royals, Minor still has upside as a command expert, but with a floor of essentially zero value, he should only be a late-round flyer in the deepest of leagues.
