Profile: Once a double-threat starter/reliever who made the 2011 All-Star roster, Ogando has been used exclusively out of the bullpen the last few years and has been showing signs of decline. After experiencing something of a bounceback with the Red Sox in 2015 (cutting his walk rate from 12.3% to 10.1% and adding some speed to his fastball), the Braves took a chance on him last year with a minor-league contract. He made the MLB roster, but after perhaps his worst season yet (with a 15.5% walk rate and a 5.17 SIERA), he was DFAed in June, released, and picked up by the Diamondbacks before leaving them as well in August. Ogando will not be reappearing in the majors this year -- he signed with the KBO's Hanwha Eagles in January -- though a return to MLB in future seasons is not out of the question. (Brice Russ)

The Quick Opinion: Instead of building on his 2015 improvements, Ogando had perhaps his worst season yet in 2016 and ended the year as a free agent. Ogando is playing in Korea this year and can thus be ruled out of fantasy discussion for 2017.
